The first province of the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary
Established in 1987 as the first province to be bifurcated from the Congregation of the Daughters of Mary, St. Joseph's Province has been at the forefront of serving communities with dedication and compassion.
Mother House Location: Marthandam, Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India.
The Province is led by a Provincial Superior and a council, but the model empowers local communities to take initiative and responsibility. This allows for dynamic and responsive ministry. Local convents are independently administered by a team of Professed Sisters, creating strong pathways for spirituality, social justice, self-dignity, peace, love, and compassion.
